[More like a placeholder since we don't know how that's turning out yet!!! But all she knows is he suffered through that, so you know what he needs? Some wine. And maybe just let it alllll out.

So first she calls him.]

General Hux? How are you right now?

[Hux picks up right away, but keeps the video off. He's still not looking his best, but he can keep his voice level, so he'd prefer to do that. Showing weakness is a terrible idea, so he would prefer not to, even if Vietnam already knows what sort of state he's in.]

Hello Vietnam. [his tone is steady and even, if a little raspy.] I am resting. I was able to secure a few healing potions, so I am decidedly better than yesterday.

[She could understand that, considering a few others may have done the same. It hasn't been a good week whatsoever.]

Ah, that is a relief. I am glad you have been able to rest and the potions are useful. I hear that some of the establishments that were involved have also been served justice. [At least she heard a rumour about one of them being razed to the ground.]

Oh? Considering the corruption rampant in this city, I hesitate to be hopeful about any sort of justice. What have you heard, exactly?

Considering we had to take our own actions, yes. Well, I did hear that one of the establishments was burnt down. I'm not entire sure how or who did it.

Part of me feels I should be pleased by that, yet I can only thing that such a disturbance could have been used to hide evidence.

Oh? That is also quite possible. They would also try to hard all of this information. But then we could relay it ourselves, how these groups also kidnap heroes for some disgusting reason.

I must admit, I don't find the kidnappings so much of a surprise either. Several people trying to infiltrate a crime syndicate naturally leads to conflict and friction. It is not as though we are difficult to spot or particularly subtle as a group.

[just think about their uniforms.]

[She nods slowly over on her end of the line, and sighs.]

I agree, I am still not very pleased with the colour of our uniforms.

It gets dirty very quickly as well. [REMEMBER THE DUNGEON.] I wonder if there is a way to have darker uniforms.

If there is, I would welcome it. [he sounds marginally annoyed] Or at least something with better, more clean lines. Our current uniforms are a bit too ornate.

[It's still weird talking to her mechanical scorpion in order to send any messages, but, alas, it is necessary. Her tone is - if possible - more clipped and cool than usual (given the their previous interactions, which shall remain unspoken.]

Of course, Captain Phasma. [he doesn't trust those birds who are always hanging around the halls, so....]

There's a cafe in the [insert name here] botanical garden. Meet me there in two hours.

[She'll be there, promptly, idly tapping her fingers against the table as her scorpion crawls about and engages in various acts of visual dominance to anyone who passes by. It's at least learned by now not to do that at Hux, at least.]

[Hux is similarly on time. He is completely ignoring her little scorpion on the table, instead moving to sit across fro her, all measured movements.] Good afternoon, Captain.

[She flags down a waiter, who brings over a wine and whiskey she'd ordered earlier and put on hold until Hux arrived. She waves the waiter off.]

I have a proposition to make.

[Hux waits until the wine is set down, reaching out slowly to accept it as Phasma makes her statement.]

Go on. [he's listening, as he lifts the glass to take a small sip]

[Phasma considers her words carefully for a moment, and keeps herself neutral and her words low.]

You and I, we're on the wrong side of this war, which gives us the perfect opportunity. Entrenched in enemy territory, unsuspecting, given tools and training. No background check. We can't be the only ones.

...I don't disagree. [calmly] In fact, it is an opinion I have held for some time. That there must be others.

It is a matter, however, of discovering who they are and earning their trust. Anyone in such a position would be wary.

I think it would be worth the effort. It would take time and consideration, but to have a team we could count on, that held important the things that really matter, it could make all the difference.
